OVERALL
As with all experimental programs, polearms can only be used at official practices or events when at least one of the following marshals are present:
Kingdom Rapier Marshal
Regional Provost Marshal
Experimental Program Sponsoring Marshal
RULES
The following is a listing of the initial engagement rules. These may be modified as the program continues.
AUTHORIZATION REQUIREMENTS
All fighters using polearms must have been authorized for heavier-type blades for at least one (1) year. In addition, a fighter must be approved by one of the experimental program marshals.
REPORTING
Initially, polearms may only be used during practice or, with the Kingdom Rapier Marshal's approval, during demos at official events. All experimental program marshals are required to maintain a record of the following from each practice they attend in which polearms are used:
Every six months, the experimental program will be reviewed and a determination will be made as to whether to continue with the program, any changes in the concept or execution of the program and/or any recommendations that should be made to the SMoF.
DESIGN
Minimum requirements: 6 foot length of 1/16" wall sch40 PVC w/ a soft
foam head taped

Materials:
1 PVC pipe 1" outside diameter 1/16" wall cut to 80"
2 PVC end caps
1" inside diameter 3/8--1/2" thick foam pipe insulation, 1 piece 6" long, 1 piece 2" long
PVC cement
duct tape (silver and colored)
Construction:
A cement the end caps to the ends of the pipe
B cut the 2" length of foam along the side, and roll it
C insert the 2" wide rolled foam into the 6" length of foam tube until the ends are flush
D insert the PVC pipe into the other end of the foam tube,
so the end cap touches the rolled foam
E cover and secure foam tip with silver duct tape
F wrap pipe in colored duct tape
